Talya aka “Bootz” has over 25 years of social justice and community organizing experience.  She is a founding member of the Homeless Advocacy Working Group, and is the founder and lead organizer of Love and Justice in the Streets.


Vera Sloan
Organizer & Advocate
Vera is an Oakland single mom and street outreach provider.  Originally from LA, she moved to the East Bay at 18 and has been working in Bay Area Communities ever since


Katie Kelly-Hankin
Finance & Development Coordinator
Katie is a health educator who has worked in Oakland public schools for over a decade. She is passionate about racial and economic justice and handles finance, development and web design for Love and Justice in the Streets.
